The holiday season is upon us, and as I’ve been saying the past few weeks, things can get hectic this time of year. Between trimming the Christmas tree to wrapping gifts to baking dozens upon dozens of cookies, before you know it Santa Clause will be sliding down the chimney. Recipes that are as equally delicious as they are simple to make are the best and no-bake recipes are even better. Especially when those recipes include lots of chocolate and festive Christmas sprinkles.

OREO Cookie Balls are always one of my go-to recipes for any occasion Not only are they ridiculously simple, they’re also incredible easy to customize for any holiday. They disappear off the dessert table in a blink of an eye – but who could resist poppable bites of candy covered OREOS? Not many.

OREO came up with this amazing recipe for OREO Cookie Balls, that is so simple, you’ll be shocked! Only three ingredients, yes only three, and you’re on your way to a chocolate covered ball of heaven.

After making the OREO Cookie Balls I placed them on a rectangular platter in the shape of a Christmas tree. The beauty of this dessert is you can store the cookie balls in the freezer and pull out when needed right before an event. Arrange on a platter, and volia! You have a dessert that looks like you spent hours creating. It can be our little secret that you did this in under thirty minutes.

Official OREO Cookie Ball Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 pkg (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened

36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)

4 pkg. (4 oz. each) semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted

Optional ingredients:

Green food coloring

Sprinkles

 

Directions:

  1. MIX cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
  2. SHAPE into 48 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
  3. CUSTOMIZE it with your own ingredient additions or decorative skills.
  4. REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm.
  5. Share and enjoy!
