Spicy Sriracha Almonds

Raise your hand if you are one of those people who puts sriracha on everything! Although I don’t put it on totally everything, I’m pretty hooked on the spicy chili sauce. I’m a snacker and lately I’ve been a fan of nuts, particularly almonds. They’re salty, crunchy… I’m just a fun of that satisfying crunch you get from a nicely roasted almond. As much as I adore, the simple roasted and salted variety or even raw, I love the fancy flavors they are coming out with these days. Unfortunately though, most of them have a billion ingredients, half of which are impossible to pronounce. I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own Spicy Sriracha Almonds with only four ingredients.

These almonds are fabulous because they’re full of flavors that I know. I know exactly what is in this snack, which makes it that much more delightful. Top your salads, soups or just eat them by the handful these spicy nuts will give you that satisfying crunch that you crave. Simple to make and healthy, what’s not to love? I feel a snack attack coming on.

Ingredients:

2 cups whole raw almonds
4 tablespoons sriracha
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1-2 teaspoons kosher salt
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Spread almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with foil and bake for 15 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Remove from oven (leave oven on) and allow to cool for 10 minutes. In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients except almonds and salt; stir in almonds to coat evenly. Return almonds to the foil-lined baking sheet in a single layer and bake again for 15 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
